WASCA (Working Australian Shepherd Club of Alberta) Trials
July 27-29, 2007     Leslieville, Alberta
Judges:  Shannon Oxford & Rachel Vest

Gracin and I had a wonderful time at WASCA this year and came home with a couple of new titles.  Gracin began his Started cattle title last year, and earned two more qualifying scores this year to complete it.  In addition, he earned Q's on sheep for his Started title, and finally a hard-earned qualifying score on ducks with a First place finish for one leg toward his Started ducks title.  We were very proud to come home with the prize for High Combined Started Aussie.

The highlight of our "WASCA week" came when we were presented with the Gin Cummings Memorial Award for Most Promising Started Aussie.

Now that we're back home, I think he drove the sheep out to pasture this morning with just a little more pride in that big puffed out chest of his, a little more attitude, and a whole lot more confidence.
